New Law Requires Efficiency Scores For Buildings in NYC

NYC: Local Law 33 and Local Law 87

Apartment and office buildings in New York City will now receive energy efficiency scores. Much like restaurants must display a letter grade for their food vendor status, buildings will be required to publicly display their efficiency grades on the entrance doorway.

This new law pertains to the water and energy consumption of the building and is a big concern for many building owners and superintendents, particularly in the many old buildings throughout the city.

TechDad’s Techmenity Service will be launching soon to assist buildings and their residents find, install, and understand the technology they need to consume less.
